Referral Program Terms

The program is open to:

• Anyone with a RentDokan account, whether or not they own a shop. A referrer account does not need a shop of its own.
• An existing shop owner, referring as themselves. Commissions belong to you, the person, not to your shop.

One referrer account per person. Joining a second time gives you back your original referral code rather than a second one, so your earnings are never split across two ledgers. Registration is instant.

We issue you a short referral code. Your link is any RentDokan page with your code on the end of it as the ref parameter — for example https://www.rentdokan.com/?ref=YOURCODE.

You may share your link anywhere you are entitled to post. You may not present yourself as RentDokan or as its employee, and you may not promise anyone terms, prices, features or discounts that are not published by us. Doing so is a reason to void a commission or suspend a referrer account under section 9.

Attribution is mechanical, and these are the mechanics:

• When someone opens your link, we store your referral code in a cookie in that browser for 30 days. The cookie holds the code and nothing else.
• Last click wins. If that browser later opens a different referrer's link, the newer code replaces yours.
• The attachment is written once, at the moment the shop is created, and never changes afterwards. A shop attributed to someone else can never be moved to you, and a shop attributed to you stays yours.
• Only a brand-new shop counts. A shop that already existed when your link was opened is never attributed, to anyone.
• You cannot refer yourself. A shop you create yourself never earns you a commission.

A click on one device and a signup on another is not attributed. The cookie lives in one browser on one device. If the person opens your link on their phone and then creates the shop on a laptop, or in a different browser, or after clearing their cookies, or more than 30 days later, the signup is not attributed to you and earns you nothing. This is a real limit of how attribution works, and we would rather you knew it now than discovered it from a missing commission. Ask people to open your link on the device they are going to sign up on.

A commission is what you earn from one qualifying plan payment by a shop attributed to you.

• The default commission is 15% of each qualifying payment.
• A rate may be agreed individually with a referrer, and it may be a percentage or a fixed amount in taka.
• Whatever rate and model are in force when a commission is created are recorded on that commission and do not change afterwards. Changing your rate never rewrites what you have already earned.
• A fixed commission is capped at the amount collected. We never pay you more than the shop paid us.

Each shop you refer carries its own earning window:

• The window is 12 months, measured from that shop's first paid plan payment. A different length may be agreed individually with a referrer.
• Every qualifying plan payment inside the window earns a commission — the first payment, every renewal, an upgrade, and a renewal made after the shop had lapsed and come back.
• A lifetime plan is a single payment, so it earns a single commission.
• A payment made after the window has closed earns nothing and is not recorded as a commission at all.

Commission is calculated on the cash actually collected for that payment — what the shop really paid, after any promo code discount and after any proration credit. It is never calculated on a plan's list price.

A payment that a promo code covered in full earns ৳0. It still appears in your ledger, because it is a real conversion and we would rather show it than hide it, but there is no money in that payment to share.

This holds whichever model you are on. A fixed commission on a payment of ৳0 is also ৳0, because a fixed commission is capped at the amount collected.

A new commission is pending for 30 days from the moment it is created. During that hold it can be voided under section 9.

After 30 days it becomes approved, and approved commissions are what your payout balance is made of.

The hold is a dispute window. It gives the shop no rights against you, and it is not a refund period.

Payouts are requested by you and settled by us:

• You can request a payout once your approved balance reaches ৳1,000. Below that the balance simply stays and keeps growing.
• You choose one destination and hold one at a time: a bKash or Nagad number, or a bank account.
• One request at a time. While a request is outstanding you cannot open another.
• Settlement is manual. A person reviews your request, sends the money outside the system, and records the transaction reference against it. There is no automated disbursement.
• The name and phone number on your referrer account must be yours and must be reachable. We may ask you to confirm them, or to confirm that a payout destination is yours, before money is sent.

Everything is paid in Bangladeshi taka.

Three things can move against you, and all three are visible to you:

• We may void a commission, with a reason recorded against it, where the payment behind it did not stand, where the signup was not genuine, where you referred yourself, or where the program was abused. A voided commission stays in your ledger showing as voided, with its reason.
• We may suspend a referrer account. A suspended referrer attributes no new shops, earns no new commissions, and cannot request a payout. Commissions you had already earned are not affected: they finish their hold and stay in your balance.
• Money never moves backwards. We will not invoice you for a commission that has already been paid out; if something has to be reversed after settlement, it is offset against what you are owed next.

The referral cookie holds a referral code and nothing else. It lasts 30 days, it cannot be read by scripts on the page, and it is not used for advertising or profiling. Its only job is to remember whose link was opened, so that a signup can be attributed to the right referrer.

As a referrer, we hold:

• Your name, phone number and email address — so we can identify you and reach you about your account.
• Your referral code, the shops attributed to you and your commissions — this is the ledger itself.
• Your payout destination, a wallet number or bank account details — because it is how the money reaches you, and because a payout is sent by a person who has to be certain they are paying the right one.

A shop signing up through your link is shown your name, so the person knows who referred them, and nothing else about you. Our Privacy Policy covers everything else we hold. → View Privacy Policy

We may change these terms, the default rate, the window, the hold or the payout minimum. Commissions already created keep the rate and the window they were created with, so a change never rewrites what you have earned. We will give notice of a significant change, and continuing in the program after it takes effect is acceptance of it.

We may end the program. If we do, commissions already earned are held and settled under these terms.

The program is operated from Bangladesh and paid in Bangladeshi taka, and these terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. The courts of Bangladesh have exclusive jurisdiction. We will first try to settle anything through friendly discussion.
